Background
Formed after the devastating Canterbury Earthquakes, Gapfiller have created multiple activations, events and installations to reinvigorate and fill the gaps left behind in Christchurch's CBD.
Their latest project, Open City - in collaboration with All Right? is a new way to share and explore free things to do in Christchurch.
Working alongside the Gapfiller and All Right? teams, I created
a promotional video for the project to be shared on social media featuring interviews and examples of sweet, free activities to hat was shared on social media, along with teaser snippets.
The best things in life are free
The best way to explore a city? Ask a local.
Open City is an insider's guide to Christchurch, combining the best of local knowledge and free activities into a new interactive format.
Hidden inside a modified parking meter is a vending machine loaded with fun, free activities - all submitted by Christchurch locals. From feeding the ducks, to exploring street art, simply select an activity and receive your ticket to discover a hidden gem in the CBD.
Can't make it to the machine? Have a suggestion to share?
Submit your sweet, free thing to do and explore plenty more recommendations on the Open City website. New suggestions
are added online and to the machine regularly.

Virtual info session
One of the ideas I had to boost our applicant numbers for our ATC intake was to host a 'Virtual information session', where people could learn more in depth about Air Traffic Control, the application process and the training programme.
For a specialised industry, this was really important as ATC often has a bit of mystery surrounding it, so this forum was a great chance for people to ask questions and get to know the people behind it.
This format has been very successful, and is still used by
the Airways team as part of their recruitment efforts.
